Job Title:
Staff Scientist 2
- Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Write technical reports and proposals.
- Actively develop your own career growth.
- BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field
- 4–6 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
- Experience with State of Texas corrective action programs: TRRP, LPST, IOP, VCP, Spill Rules, RRC programs, etc.
- Capacity and experience to respond to short-term emergency response efforts
- Strong technical writing skills, ability to successfully multitask, safety awareness, and a good record of safe work practices
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus
- Experience with data management and report preparation
- Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
