Job Title:
Staff Scientist 2

• Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Write technical reports and proposals.
• Actively develop your own career growth.

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field
• 4–6 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
• Experience with State of Texas corrective action programs: TRRP, LPST, IOP, VCP, Spill Rules, RRC programs, etc.
• Capacity and experience to respond to short-term emergency response efforts
• Strong technical writing skills, ability to successfully multitask, safety awareness, and a good record of safe work practices
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
• Light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus
• Experience with data management and report preparation
• Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
