Our client is seeking a well-rounded Architect or Interior Designer to serve as the company’s BIM Manager.
The primary responsibility of the BIM Manager is to implement our current BIM structure, facilitating consistency across all sectors, disciplines, and offices, quality in all deliverables, and promoting the efficient/effective use of BIM on all projects. The BIM Manager will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
- Leading BIM PxP planning sessions and assisting project teams in properly setting up their models to comply with office standards and best practices
- Reviewing project Revit models at key milestones for consistency with company standards, level of development, and efficient modeling practices
- Maintaining the existing BIM standards, templates, and family development
- Troubleshooting model issues and supporting project teams with their AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks questions
- Planning and executing beginner, intermediate, and advanced Revit, Navisworks, and other Design Applications training courses for employees
- Planning and executing continuing education for advances in BIM technology
- Administering the corporate Revit server system
- Creating and maintaining Autodesk software deployments and software service packs
- Tracking Autodesk license usage
- Coordinating Autodesk software updates with Information Technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and/or Interior Design.
- Professional licensure and LEED Accreditation preferred.
- Three to five years’ experience in A/E industry preferred
- Working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills
- Training Design and Delivery experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Revit architecture, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, and other Design Applications.
- Knowledge of the Revit API is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of the Revit MEP and Structure is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of COBie data and CMMS software integration is preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
- Ability to help others cheerfully under deadline situations.
- Capable of traveling to and from project sites and meetings as required
