We are looking for a Truss Engineer to join our Dallas, TX team!
Responsibilities- Lead and support engineering efforts by reviewing and sealing truss designs.
- Mentor junior staff and resolve complex customer issues.
- Contribute to product development and software improvement to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction within the truss engineering team.
- Coordinate the work and schedule of engineering staff.
- Provide training and mentoring as needed.
- Review truss jobs, modifications, and repairs.
- Design layouts from customer specifications.
- Assist with customer support issues requiring engineering expertise, including complex issues.
- Assist with customer engineering concerns related to software and design considerations.
- Create tech sheets and help videos.
- Support True Build® software testing and requirements as needed.
- Research engineering requirements and assist in training for current requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and component manufacturing design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary component manufacturing design software (True Build®).
- Proficiency with/ability to learn proprietary company management software (EMS).
- Possess a Warrior's Spirit and a Servant's Heart.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required;
Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred. - Professional Engineer (PE) for Truss Engineer roles, or Engineer in Training (EIT) for Truss Engineer Technician roles.
- Previous truss experience preferred.
- CAD experience preferred.
- At least five years of related experience required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel as required, mainly local/regional, estimated at 10% travel time.
