** General Engineering Support
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** May include any or all the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Review construction submittals for structural elements designed by Datum
* Calculate structural loads (e.g., Wind Load, Seismic, Gravity, etc.) based on Building Codes.
* Perform Structural Analysis and Design Calculations for beams, columns, diaphragms, lateral force resisting systems, and other holistic structural systems and components, for incorporation into Construction Documents.
* Attend jobsite visits.
* Assist with gathering information about buildings and construction in the field, either in existing facilities or facilities under construction.
* Work in building information models using Revit, depending on your abilities.
* Perform miscellaneous office tasks as needed, such as assistance with establishing and maintaining design standards.
* Additional responsibilities commensurate with your interests or abilities.## Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
*** Enrolled in an accredited engineering program pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Architectural/Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis
* Successful completion of college coursework in Structural Analysis and either steel design or concrete design. Additional structural coursework is preferred.
** Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
*** Sound knowledge of engineering first principles commensurate with your education level
* Familiarity with various engineering materials
* Self-motivated and willing attitude
* Ability to effectively process and consider complex information
* Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
