Senior Data Center Engineer - Electrical & Procurement

Project focus
Senior electrical technical support across US data center and mission-critical projects, focused on electrical equipment, technical review, procurement, construction and commissioning. The role will assess electrical equipment and manufacturers, support procurement decisions, and identify technical or constructability issues before equipment reaches site.

Key skills and Experience required
– Strong electrical engineering, electrical contracting, construction or commissioning background

– Experience with in data centers, mission-critical or other high-reliability environments
– Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution systems

– Experience with switch gear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS, busway and power distribution equipment
– Ability to review electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications, equipment schedules and technical submittals
– Experience evaluating electrical equipment, manufacturers, vendor proposals and technical deviations
– Understanding of electrical installation, construction and commissioning requirements
– Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical standards
– Experience supporting equipment procurement, RFQs/RFPs, vendor evaluations or technical bid reviews
– Exposure to long-lead electrical equipment and manufacturer coordination
– Commissioning experience across FAT/SAT, IST, functional testing, generator, UPS, ATS, switch gear or transformer systems is advantageous
– Ability to work across engineering, procurement, electrical contractors, manufacturers and commissioning teams
– Willingness to travel to project sites, manufacturers and factory locations as required
