Visit  for more information. GPTech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Department of State (DOS) Engineering Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The objective of these contracts is to obtain the full range of engineering and administrative expertise necessary to assist and support the DOS Office of Construction Management (CM) build and renovate diplomatic facilities abroad.

The Mechanical Engineer will support and assist the program in ensuring the completion of the project in accordance with the contract requirement by providing a full range of critical engineering and construction quality assurance, management, and technical oversight. This position will be located in the given task order location.

Responsibilities:

• Perform technical inspections of mechanical work, monitor the construction contractor’s quality control program, and review project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Verify that the contractor is performing the required contract work in accordance with the design documents.
• Review engineering shop drawings and determine whether the contractor has complied with the final design parameters.
