Summary
The Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) – Colorado is a senior technical role responsible for the execution, quality assurance, and professional oversight of survey deliverables supporting Ascent Geomatics Solutions’ renewable energy and general survey programs. While anchored in Colorado, this role supports a portfolio of projects across multiple U.S. states, with licensure coverage coordinated at the company level to meet project needs.
This position is focused on survey-phase execution and technical ownership, with a strong emphasis on ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary resolution, and title-intensive work commonly associated with large-scale development. The Professional Land Surveyor works closely with the Director of Survey and survey staff to maintain throughput, quality, and defensibility across active workloads, including coordination of survey-phase activities for complex projects.
This is not a department management role. The Professional Land Surveyor is expected to provide professional technical guidance to survey technicians as part of normal practice, but does not carry formal supervisory responsibility.
The ideal candidate is a Colorado-licensed Professional Land Surveyor with strong ALTA experience, sound technical judgment, and the ability to manage complex survey workloads in a collaborative, non-corporate environment.
