Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and LynchLHH is seeking a dynamic and experienced M&A Controller to join a growing, fast-paced organization that is actively expanding through strategic global acquisitions. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting and M&A integration, who thrives in cross‑functional environments and is looking to have a direct impact on business outcomes. The successful candidate will bring deep hands‑on experience with post‑acquisition integration, financial reporting, and process harmonization, particularly in complex or global settings.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of both US GAAP and IFRS, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving results.
- Lead post-acquisition financial integration efforts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timely execution.
- Support M&A financial due diligence, including valuation modeling, risk assessments, and strategic fit analysis.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate acquisition opportunities and provide financial insights.
- Develop and implement integration plans for new acquisitions, standardizing financial systems and processes.
- Track and report on synergy realization and post-acquisition performance metrics.
- Prepare and present financial reports, integration updates, and post‑mortem analyses to executive stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison for M&A projects, coordinating with legal, HR, IT, and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare audit-ready documentation related to acquisition activity and integration processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, accounting procedures, and integration strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory developments related to M&A activity.
- Support special projects and initiatives as required by executive leadership.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 15–20% depending on project needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or CFA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong emphasis on M&A and post-acquisition integration.
- Demonstrated success in leading financial due diligence and integration initiatives.
- Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS; strong understanding of purchase accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed and fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Strong data analysis skills — able to compile, interpret, and present complex financial data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (such as Epicor, D365, or ADP) and EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1) is a plus.
