VICE PRESIDENT FINANCE - CORP
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance, the Vice President of Corporate Finance is responsible for areas within the Methodist Health System Finance team designed to maximize the hospital and corporate financial performance and contribute to the overall healthcare system’s strategic and operational goals through innovative leadership and accountability.

- Responsible for the system’s Decision Support program, including oversight of the employees, management of the cost accounting tool, and vendors, and overseeing the preparation, analysis, and reporting of cost accounting data for administration, service line leaders, corporate finance, and external parties.
- Works with Business Development, medical group leadership, and hospital leadership concerning expansion of existing services and new hospital services, including review and compilation of financial data and preparation of proformas when needed.
- Oversees the system’s labor productivity department, managing the labor benchmarking and productivity vendors, and facilitating the periodic reporting and accountability process with facilities to meet standards.
- Facilitates coordination of FTE and labor planning with VPs of Finance in partnership with the VP of Corporate Budgeting.
- Accountable for finance systems, overseeing the Finance Systems team and related tools (e.g., Workday, Strata Jazz, Operating Budget, Cost Accounting).
- Participates in the system’s formal budget program, coordinating business development activity in the budget and supporting maintenance of budget tools.
- Executes the overall finance team systems vision, coordinating with vendors and proactively identifying solutions.
- Ensures maximum compliance with regulatory agencies, organizational goals, policies, procedures, and contract terms.
- Performs other related accountabilities/duties as required or directed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related major; graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in an acute hospital finance environment.
- 8+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in financial systems, proforma development, monitoring of financial statements, decision support, and labor productivity.
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant preferred.
