EPR Energy, LLC is a Dallas-based oil and gas mineral and royalty acquisition company founded in 2020. We’ve quickly become one of the most active buyers in the Lower 48.

Role

This is a hands-on finance and accounting position that directly supports our acquisition engine and all other finance related functions. You will manage cash flow, handle royalty revenue and owner payment accounting, and work closely with management on many other projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record mineral and royalty revenue, lease bonuses, and acquisition costs
  • Review monthly royalty check for accuracy in amount and confirm with internal reporting
  • Communicate with acquisitions team on payments and transaction closings
  • Assist with mineral transaction evaluation process
  • Manage 13-week cash forecast and bank balances
  • Handle accounts payable, expense reporting, and vendor payments
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Improve processes and controls as the company scales
What We Look For
  • 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience (oil & gas experience a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills, Quick Books Online or similar preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who asks questions and pushes for clarity
  • Experience with oil & gas revenue or division order accounting is a strong plus, but not required – we will train the right person
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
