Connect Search is partnering with a growing financial services organization to identify an Assistant Controller to join their expanding accounting leadership team in the Dallas area. This role offers the chance to guide critical operational functions, support ongoing acquisitions, and work closely with senior executives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

• Lead and mentor teams across accounting, billing, and payroll to ensure accurate and timely operational performance.
• Oversee month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including reviews of financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting packages.
• Support M&A activity through financial diligence, data evaluation, and post‑close integration of acquired entities.
• Manage client billing workflows and the related variable compensation processes for advisory teams.
• Ensure accurate payroll execution and partner with internal groups on benefits compliance.
• Enhance systems, internal controls, and accounting workflows to support ongoing organizational growth.

• CPA required, with a strong technical foundation in GAAP.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management of teams.
• Background that includes both public accounting and private industry roles.
• Experience with in financial services, asset management, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate with leaders across the organization.
