Spire is on a mission to change in‑store payments through our merchant‑branded, pay‑by‑bank platform. We enable merchants to reduce transaction costs, drive loyalty, and deliver a seamless customer experience—without disrupting existing checkout systems.

Spire is seeking a fintech‑experienced Product Manager to lead our core money movement capabilities:
Transactions and Settlements. This role is responsible for the performance, reliability, and expansion of our payment infrastructure with the goal of dramatically increasing transaction volume. The ideal candidate must possess deep domain expertise in payment processing, bank rails (ACH/RTP), digital wallets, and financial reconciliation.

• Define the product roadmap to increase successful transaction volume and velocity across all consumer and client interfaces.
• Own the product lifecycle for all payment methods, including Pay‑by‑Bank (Open Banking), ACH, Real‑Time Payments (RTP), and emerging digital wallets.
• Drive the product strategy for financial settlements, reconciliation processes, and exception handling to ensure accuracy, stability, and speed of funds movement.
• Identify and execute opportunities to optimize our payment gateway integrations, reduce latency, and improve authorization rates.
• Partner with Risk and Fraud teams to build features that minimize transaction risk (e.g., chargebacks, ACH returns) while maintaining a positive user experience.
• Ensure all payment and settlement processes adhere to relevant industry regulations (e.g., NACHA rules, KYC/AML).
• Own the domain‑specific data/reporting for transaction volume, success rates, settlement speed, and financial metrics, providing transparency to the business.
• Own development of client‑facing self‑service tools (dashboards, reporting portals) related to transaction monitoring, payments history, and settlement status.
• Enhance consumer‑facing tools for managing payment methods, viewing transaction details, and initiating payment‑related inquiries.
• Manage and prioritize enhancements to internal tools used by Finance, Operations, and Support teams for payment processing, ledger management, and troubleshooting.

• 3‑5 years as a Product Manager in Fintech, Payments, or Financial Services.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering features using Agile methodology.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to cultivate alignment across business and technology teams.
• Customer‑centric mindset, resilience, and a visionary/strategic thinker with a can‑do attitude.
• Preferred:
  Experience managing high‑volume, mission‑critical systems.
• Preferred:
  Experience with product discovery frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking, Dual‑Track Agile).
• Preferred:
  Expertise with tools like Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms.
