We are seeking a knowledgeable and relationship‑driven Tax Manager to join a growing, client‑focused team. This role is well suited for a tax professional who enjoys partnering closely with clients, providing strategic tax guidance, and leading tax engagements from planning through compliance.
As a Tax Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor, working collaboratively with internal teams to align tax strategies with clients’ personal and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary tax contact for clients, building long‑term, trusted relationships
- Participate in client meetings to present and implement tax planning strategies
- Collaborate with advisory and internal teams to integrate tax planning into broader financial strategies
- Support onboarding and transition of new clients
- Lead and oversee tax engagements, including compliance and planning
- Review and sign federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates
- Manage tax projections, planning analyses, and audit support
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members through ongoing feedback
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA, JD, or EA required;
Master’s in Taxation or JD preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in individual, partnership, fiduciary, estate, and gift tax compliance
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state tax law, regulations, and authoritative guidance
- Experience with tax preparation, research, and planning software; ability to adapt quickly to new systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
