Our Tax Department oversees SS&C’s day-to-day tax operations, including federal, state, foreign, income, sales and use, VAT, and other tax filings, as well as all aspects of foreign tax reporting. The Private Equity Tax team specifically supports SS&C’s private markets clients, preparing and reviewing complex partnership returns and delivering high-quality tax solutions across global investment structures.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Prepare and review complex partnership tax returns for Private Equity funds and related investment entities
- Transition into a Reviewer role, managing workflow and mentoring junior staff as experience increases
- Perform detailed book-to-tax adjustments and review partner allocations, including preferred returns, carried interest, and management fees
- Research and resolve tax issues related to partnership structures, international investments, foreign reporting (e.g., PFIC, CFC, FATCA, CRS)
- Coordinate with client service teams to manage deliverables and address tax-specific inquiries
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes and assist in investor tax reporting (e.g., Schedule K-1 preparation)
- Provide peer training, process improvement recommendations, and constructive feedback
- Manage competing deadlines in a dynamic, client-driven environment
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
- Minimum of 2 years of tax experience, ideally within Private Equity, Hedge Fund, or Partnership taxation
- Knowledge of aggregate allocations, tiered structures, and international reporting requirements a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, GoSystem RIA, and other tax preparation tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team while managing multiple client relationships
