This is a newly created position at the financial center of a growing private equity firm. The individual in this role will support both fund accounting and management company accounting while also assisting with investor relations as the firm enters an exciting period of expansion - including the launch of a third fund that will significantly increase assets under management.

This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the founders. It offers hands‑on exposure to fund operations, audits, tax review, investor reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills and a collaborative, personable attitude; culture fit is just as important as capability.

The firm offers a 4/1 hybrid model - focusing on remote Fridays.

• Support quarterly fund reporting and monthly management company reporting
• Assist with fund accounting activities including capital calls, distributions, allocations, and cash reconciliations
• Ensure invoices are properly coded between funds and management company
• Review cash activity, reconcile accounts, and support audit readiness
• Manage the relationship with the fund administrator (Standish)
• Work within Quick Books Online for the management company

• Assist with tax reporting and compliance; review tax work prepared by external providers (PwC)
• Support annual audits and K-1 preparation (primary delivery in March)
• Learn tax review processes directly from the CFO
• Assist with investor onboarding, including subscription documents, KYC/AML, and coordination with the fund administrator
• Support investor communications and respond to routine inquiries
• Assist with capital call notices and investor reporting
• Support fundraising efforts through preparation of investor presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials

• Design, document, and enhance accounting and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen controls and workflows as the firm scales

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field - REQUIRED
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience (junior‑to‑mid level role)
• Experience with fund structures, partnership accounting, capital calls, distributions, and waterfalls - REQUIRED
• CPA highly preferred or willingness to pursue CPA
• Big 4 experience welcomed, particularly with fund audit or private equity clients
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (GL, month‑end close, financial statements, journal entries, debits/credits)
• Strong Excel skills; advanced proficiency preferred
• Experience with Quick Books Online is a plus
