Purpose

Assists with the end-to-end lifecycle of U.S. and global regulatory and business driven projects. The role contributes to the overall execution of strategic projects, requiring leadership to partner with senior leaders to improve controls and operating efficiencies. The role also entails reporting and administrative responsibilities (e.g., supporting the creation of board and steering committee materials, aiding project managers and ensuring overall quality of the program).

Specifically, you will manage projects from inception through implementation including scoping, identifying key stakeholders, performing business analysis, establishing clear objectives, drafting project plans, managing daily execution, reporting, and controlling project activities, balancing quality, scope, time and cost, and ensuring alignment with Head Office. Sample projects include Category III Readiness including Resolution Planning, Capital Requirements Directive, Regulatory reporting to CFTC and the SEC as well as other regulatory remediation efforts.

  • Customer Focus: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Relationship Management: Builds strong relationships with Business Issue Owners and their teams to ensure messaging on projects reflects the true state, provide transparency on project status, and regularly post on issues that may impact their teams.
  • Strategy Development: Define project and program management strategies and practices that support efficient and effective project delivery, while maintaining adherence to internal project management standards. Responsible for continuous improvement in project management practices. Support management of U.S. project portfolio to ensure appropriate prioritization and alignment with Bank’s regulatory and strategic objectives.
  • Program/Project Planning: Develops program plans and project plans. Establishes clear objectives, balances competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost, and adapts specifications to stakeholder concerns and expectations.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Applies knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to program and project activities to meet business objectives through initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Collaborates with technical resources and subject matter experts to ensure deliverables meet objectives across all phases.
  • Quality Control/Effective Challenge: Provides quality control on action plans. Challenges PMs on quality and identifies gaps in plans.
