Purpose

The Senior Manager, Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) plays a key role in advancing the Bank’s global recovery and resolution planning capabilities. This position is a key role in ensuring that Scotiabank meets its obligations under both Federal Reserve and FDIC Resolution Planning rules and guidance, along with any other applicable U.S. prudential standards, while maintaining alignment with the Bank’s broader risk and capital frameworks.

The incumbent will partner closely across Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Business Lines to develop and refine recovery options, resolution playbooks, and data aggregation capabilities that demonstrate the Bank’s ability to recover from severe stress or be resolved in an orderly manner.

This role requires a dynamic Senior Manager who brings regulatory expertise, strong banking and commercial judgment, and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills—a professional who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment grounded in Scotiabank’s values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, and Passion.

  • Act as deputy to the Resolution Planning Director in coordinating inquires from internal stakeholders, managing project plans, and maintaining documentation for regulatory submission.
  • Contribute to the development of recovery triggers, governance protocols, and testing approaches.
