Senior Wealth Advisor (Compensation: ~$350,000–$400,000 total, depending on book size)

Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Wealth Advisor for an independent, boutique wealth management firm in the financial services industry in Dallas, TX. In this senior role, you will oversee and grow a substantial book of high-net-worth client relationships, delivering comprehensive planning and investment advice while leveraging a steady flow of firm-generated leads in a highly collaborative, in-office environment.

In addition to holding required securities licensing and preferably a CFP® designation, the ideal candidate will bring at least seven or more years of experience in financial, estate, and/or tax planning, a strong track record of managing and growing a significant advisory book, and the confidence to lead client relationships and present sophisticated wealth strategies independently. If you would like to join a dynamic company with lots of room for growth and excellent work/life balance, apply today.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deepen a meaningful book of client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for many households while partnering closely with other advisors on complex relationships.
  • Develop, refine, and present holistic financial plans, including retirement cash flow projections, education funding analyses, tax-aware strategies, estate planning reviews, and risk management assessments.
  • Gather, analyze, and maintain detailed client data; produce planning deliverables such as net worth statements, cash flow analyses, and investment and performance reports to support recommendations.
  • Design, implement, and monitor target asset allocations; assist with trading and rebalancing activities, and reconcile account histories to ensure portfolios remain aligned with client goals.
  • Prepare thoroughly for client meetings, including assembling materials, coordinating agendas, and documenting key takeaways; ensure all follow-up items are completed and accurately tracked in the CRM.
  • Independently handle portions of client meetings and, where appropriate, lead meetings entirely—articulating complex financial concepts in a clear, relatable way.
  • Collaborate with internal team members on para-planning work, including long-term capital sufficiency analyses, income and tax planning projections, and scenario modeling for planning recommendations.
  • Help create and maintain client-facing digital resources such as portals and reports to enhance transparency and client engagement.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and workflows for both advisors and client service associates, contributing ideas that enhance overall client experience and team efficiency.
  • Conduct research on individual securities and investment strategies as needed to support portfolio recommendations and client discussions.
Client Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong academic foundation in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Active Series 65 (or equivalent qualification) and the ability to meet all regulatory requirements for providing investment advice.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning, estate planning, tax planning/preparation, and/or comprehensive wealth management, ideally serving high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver sophisticated wealth planning and investment recommendations, and to communicate those strategies directly and confidently to clients.
  • Completion of the CFP® designation is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to work cross-functionally, guide team members, and contribute positively to a collaborative, “teacher/coach” style culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills, with a talent for building trust with both clients and internal partners.
  • Comfort thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a hands-on, in-office presence in Dallas (100% on-site).

Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
