We are currently seeking a highly motivated Comptroller to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. Our organization operates functional wellness clinics that integrate the expertise of chiropractors, mental health professionals, and dietitians to provide exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a senior leader, financial Controller, who will provide strategic and operational leadership of the finance function, ensuring financial integrity, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals. This role oversees all aspects of accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance across a multi-site network, supporting executive leadership with insights that drive profitable growth and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership- As a senior member of the finance team, provide leadership across finance function including accounting, reporting, treasury, and internal controls.
- Partner with the executive team to provide financial insights that inform strategy and operations.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to support multi-site growth and M&A activities.
- Ensure integrity, accuracy and transparency of all financial reporting.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.
- Supervise expense management and accounts payable.
- Maintain a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance.
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
- Direct the annual budget and forecast process across clinics.
- Deliver insightful financial reports and KPIs to leadership, conduct budget variance analyses, and support financial modeling for strategic planning. Develop actionable insights to drive performance.
- Partner with corporate development to support financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-close consolidation and onboarding of new clinics.
- Develop standardized financial and reporting structures for newly acquired or opened clinics.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely federal and state tax reporting and analysis. Collaborate on tax planning and compliance initiatives to optimize organizational tax positions.
- In collaboration with Chief Compliance Officer, ensure adherence to healthcare billing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of full cycle accounting experience, including multisite reporting (healthcare & wellness industry experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in financial leadership and controlling role
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidation
- Exceptional experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and proficient with accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven leadership and process improvement abilities
