Senior Property Tax Consultant

Location: Texas (with some multi-state exposure) | Hybrid Work

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Real Property Tax Consultant with experience in commercial real estate to manage property tax portfolios and optimize tax outcomes.

• Manage property tax administration for CRE portfolios, primarily in Texas, with some out-of-state properties.
• Analyze property valuations and negotiate to reduce taxable value.
• Prepare client documentation, tax estimates, and supporting reports.
• Represent clients in assessment appeals, both informally and at Board hearings.
• Maintain positive relationships with assessors, tax jurisdictions, and clients.
• Review and approve client tax bills.
• Stay current on market trends and property tax regulations.
• Travel as needed for inspections, hearings, and client meetings.

• 1–3 years of experience in CRE tax consulting or appraisal
  ; multi-state experience a plus.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of real estate valuation methods (cost, sales comparison, income approaches).
• Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and research complex property tax issues.
• Texas Property Tax Consulting License preferred.
