Key Responsibilities

Our Global Payroll Operate practice focuses on helping our clients effectively manage their global payroll needs proactively and responsibly in 150+ countries.

In a fully global environment, an Analyst in Global Payroll Operate will actively participate in all activities within the Global Payroll Operate function.

Provide timely and high-quality payroll project management, governance and service management services and work products that exceed client expectations, including daily contact with EY global payroll teams and clients across the globe to verify that payroll services are delivered on time and accurately.

Respond to payroll and governance payroll queries from clients and internal global stakeholders.

Develop client payroll calendar detailing all payroll delivery activities and dates; support the collection of client data and work with global EY teams to confirm receipt.

Audit correctness and work with country teams to correct.

Manage the creation and updates of payroll processes/procedure documentation for all clients and audit annually.

Provide training on global tools and processes and individual client requirements to global country payroll teams.

Skills and attributes for success
  • A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a relevant field of study; supported by a strong academic record.
  • Plans to obtain an approved technical certification.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills; problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client service skills.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Understanding of payroll or other related finance activities.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Note:

this position is not able to consider candidates with an Accounting major who have plans to pursue the CPA.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the U.S. is $64,000–$80,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

    In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
