Job DescriptionAddison Group is hiring a Credit Analyst on behalf of our client. This position will evaluate financial information, assess credit risk, and support lending decisions across commercial and real estate portfolios. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing financial statements and business credit, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate recommendations effectively to lending teams and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Assign appropriate risk classifications and provide recommendations regarding the approval or decline of credit requests.
- Partner with lending teams on the underwriting, ongoing administration, monitoring, and reporting of commercial and commercial real estate loans.
- Support lenders in evaluating credit opportunities and documenting the rationale behind lending recommendations.
- Contribute to credit risk management activities, including portfolio analysis, stress testing, management reporting, board reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Review financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow information, and tax returns to evaluate an applicant's overall financial position and credit risk.
- Assess borrower strengths, weaknesses, repayment capacity, and other relevant factors to support informed lending decisions.
- Working knowledge of commercial and commercial real estate lending and underwriting principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk considerations applicable to commercial lending.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and the ability to analyze corporate financial performance.
- 2+ years of experience of credit analysis within financial services
