The Team:The American Girl Retail team is integral in providing lifetime memories to American Girl fans and their families. Our experiential retail stores provide shopping destinations like no other. This requires Innovation, Collaboration, and Execution from all who are a part of this division. Our in-store experiences range depending on location from Girl and Doll Salons, Full-Service Restaurants, Personal Shopping, Ear Piercing (Girl and Doll), hosting Parties/Celebrations to name a few.

The Sr. Salon Stylist leads the daily operations of the Girl and Doll Salon, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, and adherence to American Girl quality and safety standards. This role provides day-to-day leadership, training, and onboarding support to Experience Associates (Doll Hair Stylists) and Girl Salon Stylists while delivering professional salon services. Through hands‑on leadership, operational execution, and collaboration with store management, the Sr.

Salon Stylist supports team development, guest satisfaction, and overall salon performance.

• Lead daily Girl and Doll Salon operations, coordinating team activities, guest appointments, and service flow to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences.
• Train, onboard, and provide ongoing guidance to Experience Associates (Doll Hair Stylists) and Girl Salon Stylists, building technical skills, product knowledge, and consistent service standards.
• Deliver high-quality girl and doll salon services, including professional hairstyling and nail services, while demonstrating techniques across different hair lengths, types, and textures.
• Oversee salon reservations, appointment scheduling, and guest traffic, addressing service delays, scheduling conflicts, and operational challenges to maintain a positive guest experience.
• Maintain salon readiness by monitoring inventory, coordinating supply replenishment, and ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed.
• Perform ear piercing services upon completion of required training and certification, following established procedures, documentation requirements, and guest aftercare instructions.

• Valid cosmetology license for hair and nail services in the state of practice required.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience as a hairstylist.
