Clinical Lab Assistant – Phlebotomist – Full‑Time, Days

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231

Work hours: Full‑Time 1st Shift – 4:00 am – 12:30 pm

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency)
  • Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one‑semester course in phlebotomy
  • PBT (ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred
  • One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred
Responsibilities
  • This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services
  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
  • Follows established laboratory test procedures
  • Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
