Clinical Lab Assistant – Phlebotomist – Full‑Time, Days
Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
Work hours: Full‑Time 1st Shift – 4:00 am – 12:30 pm
Lab Department Highlights- Fast‑Paced, high‑complexity
- Collaborative team atmosphere dedicated to quality results and patient care
- Up to date instrumentation and automation
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency)
- Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one‑semester course in phlebotomy
- PBT (ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred
- One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred
- This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services
- Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
- Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
- Follows established laboratory test procedures
- Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
