As a Therapist (FT) within the Health Care industry, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence‑based therapeutic interventions that promote emotional well‑being and resilience. You will work closely with clients to assess their psychological needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and facilitate individual or group therapy sessions.
This role requires a deep understanding of diverse therapeutic modalities and the ability to adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving clients' quality of life by helping them manage crises, overcome emotional difficulties, and build healthier coping strategies.
- Master’s degree in counseling or social work.
- Valid state licensure or certification (LCDC, LMSW, LPC).
- Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, including individual and group therapy.
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and ethical standards in mental health care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including families and individuals facing life transitions.
- Training or certification in specialized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Background in trauma‑informed care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify client needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and support clients experiencing acute emotional distress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current with developments in psychotherapy and mental health counseling to continuously improve therapeutic effectiveness.
Required skills such as Counseling Psychology, Group Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling are essential for conducting effective therapeutic sessions and developing treatment plans tailored to client needs. Crisis Intervention and Anger Management skills are critical for providing immediate support during acute episodes and helping clients develop healthier coping mechanisms. Life Transitions expertise allows the therapist to guide clients through significant changes such as substance use, grief, divorce, or career shifts with empathy and practical strategies.
Preferred skills like trauma‑informed care and proficiency with teletherapy tools enhance the therapist’s ability to deliver comprehensive, accessible, and culturally sensitive mental health services.
