About the Role

As a Medical Physicist, you’ll apply principles of physics to healthcare by ensuring that medical imaging and radiation therapy technologies are safe, accurate, and effective for diagnosing and treating disease. You’ll work closely with clinical teams to calibrate and maintain equipment, plan and optimise treatment protocols, develop and implement safety and quality assurance procedures, and support the ongoing improvement of technologies and patient care practices.

Responsibilities
  • The candidate should have a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Physics or Medical Physics.
  • Minimum of two to five years’ experience in radiation oncology physics.
  • Full range of on‑site clinical medical physics support at your primary clinic.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology physics, including a good working knowledge of SRS, SBRT and HDR.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program.
  • Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program.
  • A  board certification or in the process of obtaining certification (e.g. new resident graduate).
  • Eligibility for a Texas licence.
  • Strong organisation and oral/written communication skills.
Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators as well as Varian Vari Source/Bravos HDR afterloader.
  • Working knowledge of Eclipse and Brachyvision.
  • A working knowledge of MOSAIQ Radiation Oncology Information System.
  • Working knowledge of HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures.
  • Working knowledge of radiation safety.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in community‑based cancer treatment.
  • Ability to collaborate with other network physicists.
