Work Hours

Full‑time, 40 hours weekly, Monday‑through‑Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Travel

50% to surrounding clinics with rotation between our three clinic locations as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate's Degree related field (preferred)
  • One year related experience in an Echo/Vascular Laboratory (preferred)
  • Successfully passed the Echocardiography Registry Exam Upon Hire (required)
  • Echo Certification (required)
  • RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required) OR RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required) AND Vascular Certification (required)
  • RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) OR RVS – Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
  • Working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer Process
  • Produce two‑dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physicians in the diagnosis of heart disease and study of the heart
  • Calculate, measure, and document appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians
  • Perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease following ICAVL guidelines
  • Explain procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties
  • Review test results with interpreting physicians
  • Conduct vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols
  • Ensure that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation
  • Maintain the vascular laboratory quality assurance database
  • Prepare and maintain operational logs
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment and order supplies when needed
  • May perform therapeutic procedures such as peripheral compression
  • Communicate with physicians, managers, and co‑workers as appropriate about changes in a patient’s clinical condition while undergoing echocardiogram
  • Perform other duties as assigned
