A leading hospital is looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform interventional radiology (IR) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the general supervision of a Radiologist. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, works well with physicians and patients, and can handle a fast-paced procedural setting with little oversight.
Responsibilities:- Instructs and communicates with patients and their family regarding the test to be performed
- Prepares patient and area for procedure by positioning patient and adjusting equipment controls
- Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures
- Adheres to safety requirements and drug and radiation policies
- Obtains, verifies and maintains all relevant documentation
- Maintains medical imaging records in the appropriate system according to department policies
- Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards
- BLS
- ARRT (R) (required)
- TX-MRT (required)
- 1 year of IR experience
- Neuro and Trauma experience
- Able to take call and respond in less than 30 minutes
