Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Role
The role manages day-to-day administrative and operational functions across a healthcare technology organization, covering compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations, vendor and facilities coordination, and support of clinical-adjacent teams.
This role matters because healthcare operations leave no room for error: licensure, credentialing, and regulatory deadlines carry real consequences. The administrator owns the systems and processes that keep the organization audit-ready and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Own HIPAA, CMS, and state-level compliance workflows, maintaining documentation and preparing for internal and external audits
- Manage provider credentialing and licensure tracking using tools like symplr, Medallion, or similar credentialing platforms
- Coordinate administrative operations including facilities, procurement, vendor contracts, and office logistics for a distributed workforce
- Administer HR-adjacent processes: onboarding, benefits enrollment support, policy documentation, and records management
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting in Excel, Google Workspace, or Tableau to track compliance deadlines and operational KPIs
- Partner with legal, finance, and clinical operations to review vendor agreements and manage budget tracking for administrative spend
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, ensuring staff training records and attestations are current and audit-ready
- 3-8 years of healthcare administration experience in clinical, payer, or healthcare technology settings
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS requirements, and healthcare compliance frameworks; experience passing audits is a plus
- Hands-on experience with credentialing systems, EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar), and practice management tools
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines across compliance, HR, and facilities work streams
- Excellent written communication; able to draft policies, SOPs, and audit documentation clearly and precisely
- Bonus: certification such as FACHE, CAPM, or Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (cHAP); experience supporting multi-state operations
