Night Auditor – Crescent Hotels & Resorts
Job Overview: Balance room, restaurant, and bar work daily. Post and balance charges and settlements in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain files and reset the systems for the next day’s operations.
Essential Job Functions- Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report by auditing POS tapes/journals to break down revenue, covers, waiters’ fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier.
- Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, POS and the computer.
- Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
- Input revenue/expenses/allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for the next day’s operations.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

- Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate calculations using a 10‑key.
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- Ability to accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Maintain professionalism at all times and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect. Every associate is a guest‑relations ambassador.
Work HabitsMeet and strive to exceed hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Adaptable to change and willing to learn new skills or improve existing ones. Solve routine problems and seek help when uncertain.
Safety & SecurityAdhere to hotel security policies and procedures concerning key controls, lifting heavy objects, use of chemicals, and reporting safety hazards and concerns.
