Position: Driver Recruiting - CSR

Driver Recruiting - CSR Stevens Transport

Join the driving team that keeps the roads moving. The Onsite CDL Driver Recruiter is responsible for the complete recruitment cycle for commercial driver’s license holders, ensuring a safe, compliant, and high‑performing driver workforce.

Key Responsibilities Candidate Sourcing and Outreach
  • Utilize 10thStreet ATS to search databases and referrals for potential CDL drivers.
  • Initiate contact via phone, email and other channels to assess interest and qualifications.
  • Provide information, build rapport and influence drivers to join Stevens Transport.
Candidate Screening and Evaluation
  • Review DOT, state, local and company requirements to verify candidate qualifications.
  • Interview pre‑qualified candidates and conduct in‑depth phone interviews.
  • Evaluate driving skills, work history and alignment with company standards.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Verify driving records, criminal background and employment history to meet hiring criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate documentation.
Interviewing and Assessment
  • Coordinate and conduct in‑depth interviews assessing decision‑making, professionalism and safety commitment.
  • Administer relevant tests to evaluate candidate abilities.
Candidate Selection and Offer
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to select best candidates.
  • Extend offers and negotiate compensation as needed.
Onboarding and Training Support
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new staff.
  • Schedule and confirm orientation and training sessions.
Reporting and Data Management
  • Generate and maintain recruitment reports and metrics.
  • Manage candidate data using recruitment software.
  • Create ad‑hoc reports as required by management.
Relationship Building
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential drivers.
  • Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities.
  • Continuously communicate with candidates throughout the process.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with ATS and recruitment software.
  • Strong computer and typing skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to manage high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and emails.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Initiative and autonomy, while working effectively in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CDL requirements, FMCSA regulations and industry standards.
  • Recruitment experience, especially CDL driver recruiting.
  • Organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Attention to detail in documentation.
  • Excellent communication, active listening skills.
  • Experience with Ten Street ATS.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Day shift, United States)
