Job Title: Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Pay: $150K-$175K + up to 25% Bonus

Job Type: Full Time, On‑Site;
Position will require 70-75% travel

Overview: Altocare is seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP, HR) to lead and evolve its human capital strategy across a fast‑growing, mission‑driven healthcare enterprise. This executive will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, culture and engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR compliance, leadership development, and workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEOs and executive leadership team on all human capital matters.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports Altocare’s mission, values, and long‑term growth.
  • Lead change management initiatives in support of organizational transformation, growth, and integration across divisions.
Talent Management
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to support workforce scalability across home care and adult day services.
  • Foster a performance‑driven culture through leadership development, succession planning, and performance management frameworks.
Culture, Engagement
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high‑engagement culture rooted in compassion and excellence.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Ensure market‑competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation and benefits programs.
  • Monitor benefits strategy to enhance employee well‑being and retention, while managing cost efficiency.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Direct HR operations including HRIS systems, reporting, compliance, employee relations, and policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Organizational Development
  • Oversee training, coaching, and development initiatives to build leadership capabilities and frontline competencies.
  • Implement scalable learning and development programs aligned with clinical and operational excellence.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
    Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR leadership, with at least 5 years at the executive level.
  • Experience in multi‑site healthcare, home care, or senior services preferred.
  • Proven success managing a large, decentralized workforce across diverse roles and settings.
  • Candidates residing in Dallas or Chicago are preferred.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution capability.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of labor law, HR compliance, and healthcare HR complexities.
  • Ability to influence and drive results across senior leaders and frontline teams.
  • Tech‑savvy with knowledge of modern HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday).
  • Travel required.
