AWS Cloud​/DevOps Engineer

Seeking a Senior AWS Engineer to support the sunset of a legacy internal application and transition it to a cloud-native environment. The role involves building scalable cloud infrastructure and ETL pipelines to process external brokerage data (e.g., from Fidelity) and prepare it for internal analysis and reporting. The engineer will rewrite over 900 legacy processes, leveraging AWS services, Terraform, Python, and Postgre

SQL to modernize the system and ensure secure, efficient data flows.

• Deploy, manage, and scale applications in AWS cloud environments
• Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions for serverless processing
• Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Event Bridge, etc.
• Write Terraform scripts to provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure
• Implement automated ETL pipelines to ingest, process, and load external data into databases
• Execute and optimize queries in Postgre
  
  SQL for data validation and transformation
• Collaborate with data engineers and business teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions
• Support the migration of legacy batch processes to modern AWS‑based workflows
• Ensure data integrity, security, and timely availability for financial advisors and reporting teams

• 5+ years of experience as an AWS Engineer or Dev Ops Engineer
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Event Bridge)
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development
• Solid knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL and query optimization

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Familiarity with AWS Glue for potential future adoption
• Experience migrating large‑scale legacy systems to the cloud

AWS certification (preferred but not required)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
