Job OverviewAs an iCrossing Sr. Front End Engineer you’ll be instrumental in innovating and developing immersive digital experiences on cutting‑edge, large‑scale, enterprise consumer‑facing websites. You’ll leverage your technical front‑end development expertise to build these websites on an enterprise CMS.

- Develop front‑end code for highly visible marketing and eCommerce websites.
- Implement high‑fidelity, responsive front‑end layouts from creative comps.
- Collaborate with back‑end developers to integrate front‑end code into applications.
- Ensure cross‑browser compatibility of front‑end code across devices.
- Be a key part of an application development project team comprised of onshore and offshore developers using Scrum ceremonies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with Technical Managers to estimate specific work assignments, ensure the quality of your deliverables and provide status updates and highlight issues.
- Participate in all Scrum processes, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- 4+ years of experience building websites.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS (SASS/Less) and JavaScript.
- Experience with modern web development practices including responsive design and mobile‑first layouts.
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as React or Angular.
- Understanding of Node‑based workflow and build systems such as Webpack.
- Proficient with GIT and best practices for version control across distributed teams, as well as multilingual website development.
- Knowledgeable in working with Git and shells in a terminal on a daily basis.
- Skilled at setting up your local development environment tooling and deploying code to a remote server environment.
- AEM Developer Certification.
- Experience with AEM applications using version 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service, custom components using HTL, custom templates (Editable and Static), and custom client libraries.
- Understanding of integration of web pages and applications with RESTful web services.
- Ability to establish presentation layer technical requirements.
- Experience producing interim deliverables (style guide components, technical specifications, browser & market analysis, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) to final live site or application.
- Participation in authoring of technical and business requirement documentation.
- Some proficiency in UX design, information architecture and/or graphic design, but prefer to code.

The estimated hourly range for this position in Chicago is between $57‑$70. For New York City, the estimated hourly range for this position is between $63‑$78. The actual pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as location, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
