Business​/QA Analyst

Job Description

Business/QA Analysts work with project managers, development managers, technical architects, other analysts, developers and business users on business requirements, application design specifications, and testing. The role is responsible for ensuring that business requirements are properly addressed in functional and test case design and execution.

• Participates in projects to design, test, and deploy applications to ensure the system is meeting the defined business requirements.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the team to fully understand business requirements and project deliverables.
• Develops functional documentation from business requirements and drives review and approval with all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria to design functional documentation and test cases.
• Plan, create and execute test cases to ensure delivered functionality meets requirements defined in approved documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a QA Analyst and 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a practical and logical approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and understand business needs.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), functional design documentation, and standard testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience working in Agile project management environments.
• 2+ years of experience testing mobile, desktop, and web‑based applications.
• 2+ years of experience creating and reviewing functional design documents.
• 2+ years of experience in test planning, test case design, and execution.
• 2+ years of experience performing data validation, manipulation, and analysis using SQL.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project delivery timelines under general guidance from leads.
