Senior QA Analyst - Tax Product Development

Job Summary

The Senior QA Analyst (Senior) in the Tax Product Development team ensures software quality through meticulous testing, collaboration with development teams, and driving process improvements. The Senior works closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met.

Job Duties
  • Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and business needs.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Actively design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure the software can handle expected workloads.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the QA process and implement solutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to junior QA analysts.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting (required).
  • Advanced degree in the same fields (preferred).
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Four (4) or more years of experience as a Quality Analyst with a proven track record in leading complex projects (required).
  • Deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and best practices (required).
  • Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium) (required).
  • Strong proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or C# (preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and validating data integrity (preferred).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git (preferred).
  • Certification in one of the following (preferred):
    • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
    • Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
    • ISTQB certification
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices (preferred).
  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, SQL, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Java, C# (preferred).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (preferred).
  • Ability to work well in hybrid and remote environments.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Capability to work in a deadline‑driven environment while handling multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Salary

Individual salaries are determined after consideration of qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $80,000 – $140,000 Maryland Range: $80,000 – $140,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $80,000 – $140,000
