6 month contract to hire (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)

Downtown Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Network Services Architect to lead the strategic architecture and engineering of the company's network infrastructure, encompassing data center and cloud networking, data circuits, firewalls, Net Scaler (Citrix ADC), voice services, SIP, and video conferencing platforms. This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient connectivity across a highly regulated financial environment.

• Design and evolve enterprise network architectures for data centers, cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS), and hybrid deployments.
• Define standards and best practices for network security, segmentation, and performance optimization.
• Lead engineering efforts for firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), Net Scaler appliances, SIP trunking, and video conferencing platforms.
• Manages annual budget and contracts for Network services
• Maintains Network services roadmap and ensures execution of the roadmap through demand pipelines. Drives Network service modernization efforts and stays current with emerging technologies
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of MSP-provided engineers across onshore and offshore locations.
• Review and approve Network solution architecture, standards, and diagrams created by MSP.
• Serves as the primary liaison with the MSP for Network services providing oversight and ensuring business requirements are being delivered
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure high performance and accountability from service providers.
• Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to evaluate and onboard new technologies and services.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of network infrastructure, including upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities for critical network services.
• Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure network designs and operations comply with financial industry regulations
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement robust controls and respond to audits and assessments.
• Maintain documentation and change management processes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to support business initiatives.
• Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Act as a subject matter expert in network technologies and trends.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or System/Computer is preferred.
• 10+ years in networking engineering and architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing distributed engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in data center and cloud networking (Azure/AWS).
• Deep expertise in firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Deep expertise in Net Scaler (Citrix ADC).
• Deep expertise in SIP and VoIP technologies.
• Deep expertise in video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Crestron).
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in implementing technical specifications.
• Worked on ITIL incident, problem, and service request resolution for customers.
• Experience in production incident handling, change requests, and change management.
• Create and maintain support documentation (operation run book, data flow diagrams, architecture diagrams, incident responses, RCAs).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service and quality-focused with proven process improvement skills.
• Innovative problem solving, research, and analytical skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion.
• CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, or CCAr certifications are preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Network Engineer Associate Certification are a plus.
