Job DescriptionDivision of Water Resources is seeking a Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be comfortable giving presentations in front of various sized audiences, both in person and virtually.
Responsibilities- Assist with development of reports for DWR’s compliance with Phase 2 of EPA’s NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule)
- Serve as a technical program representative bridging the gap between IT partners and the programmatic team on eRule projects
- Develop training materials and documentation for new and existing forms in MyTDEC Forms, e‑reporting
- Map data between systems and data flows to DWR and EPA databases
- Provide outreach to internal and external staff on training for all aspects of e‑reporting and NPDES data management
- Maintain data quality and provide support to both internal and external customers
- Apply proficiency in ARC‑GIS and Tableau to open additional project opportunities within the unit (optional)
- IT background with proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI and/or SAP Business Objects, Excel, and data verification
- Experience preparing data‑driven reports and familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance with federal rules
- Proficiency in developing solutions in Python and SQL languages
- Strong attention to detail and data quality focus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
