(USA) Technology Support II - Deskside Supervisor

This role offers a career with VIZIO’s Information Technology team. The Technology Support II (Deskside Supervisor) will work with cutting‑edge technology to facilitate productivity, support, and services. The position reports to the Vice President, Information Security & IT Operations and includes supervising the Technology Support Team, leading projects, and supporting employees both onsite and remotely.

Base Pay Range

$60,000.00/yr – $/yr

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Technology Support Team to meet SLAs, procedures, and processes for effective Help Desk availability.
  • Collaborate with embedded software and services development teams to ensure successful operations, project delivery, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee and manage service operations, ensuring efficient processes and practices.
  • Lead various project management efforts—planning, executing, monitoring, and closing IT projects within time and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate issue resolution for elevated support by coordinating efforts across teams and ensuring timely responses to escalated concerns.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
  • Define growth paths for Specialists and set goals for each team member.
  • Assign tasks and projects to the Technology Support Team effectively.
  • Manage on‑call procedures to guarantee support coverage during weekends.
  • Evaluate and select hardware to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Oversee IT asset inventory and stocking levels at each location.
  • Partner with HR to ensure new‑hire procurement meets SLAs.
  • Support Video Conferencing Systems.
  • Direct and coordinate work of IT teams across multiple disciplines to achieve project objectives.
  • Partner with the Information Security team to deploy and maintain new technologies such as Netskope, Global Protect, and anti‑virus solutions.
  • Assist Infrastructure and Client Services Teams in deploying Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and related technologies.
  • Act as a liaison between IT teams and Engineering executive management, providing clear communication on project status, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Learn, support, and fill in for other team members as required.
  • Maintain high morale and motivate the team to excel.
  • Guide staff and adhere to IT Operations policies.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Technology Support Management team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in embedded software and services development.
  • Proven project management experience with a track record of successful IT project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem‑solving and crisis‑management experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools preferred.
  • Deep understanding of macOS with at least 3 years of support experience.
  • Extensive experience with Windows 10 (minimum 3 years).
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
  • A hard‑working team player with a “no task is too small” attitude.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
  • Capability to assist software developers, providing correct solutions and root‑cause analysis.
  • At least 3 years working with ticketing systems such as Jira, Service Now, etc.
  • At least 3 years working with Office 365 Admin Center.
  • Exposure to or understanding of Microsoft Power Shell (automation) and macOS Terminal.
  • Solid foundation in Windows imaging (.wim, Ghost, etc.) and software packaging.
  • Understanding of Active Directory tools.
