Standard Aero is seeking a motivated, eager, and innovative student looking to join one of our Information Technology (IT) Teams for the 2024 Summer Intern Term.
As an intern Information Technology Intern at Standard Aero, you will gain hands‑on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.
Job Duties- Work in our Power
BI environment. - Review the Power
BI environment and identify best practices to improve performance and support users. - Identify and collect information from all existing Power
BI reports and classify them into multiple areas in an Excel or database table to manage and update report information. - Record owner, department, migration status, confidentiality, description, core logic, data source table names, refresh frequency, and whether the data comes from direct query to the production Oracle DB.
- Identify possible enhancements and recommend best‑practice implementations.
- Define or update a process for IT‑Helpdesk to manage and administer new reports and user access. If possible, automate this process after approval, using or similar.
- Completed IT courses at least up to Sophomore level.
- Mid to expert level knowledge in Power
BI reporting. - Mid to expert level in Oracle PL/SQL and basic Oracle database knowledge.
- Understanding of Snowflake data warehouse.
- Understanding of Power
BI Direct‑Query to Oracle database. - Good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Internship term starts mid‑end of May 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate).
- Length: 10–12 weeks (or longer).
- Must work full‑time during the summer.
- Location:
Dallas, TX; candidates must have own lodging and transportation.
