General Function

The Technical Program Manager - Retail Essilor Luxottica North America is responsible for the project goals for programs within the Helix division. The position will report to the Senior Director IT of Helix Program Delivery.

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) leads enterprise‑level integration initiatives that support the introduction of new products within the Retail Division. This role serves as the primary liaison for cross‑functional coordination between internal teams and external partners, while collaborating closely with the TPM responsible for product‑specific dependencies. The TPM manages both Waterfall and Agile development efforts, overseeing all aspects of project execution including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, capital and status reporting, timeline management, and follow‑up on key deliverables in alignment with IT PMO standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage large‑scale Enterprise Integration programs including internal Retail based Programs and other high‑impact corporate customer projects.
  • Own delivery for programs that span multiple organizations, systems, and business units.
  • Coordinate intercompany Retail efforts, ensuring smooth handoffs and communication.
  • Align engineering, QA, Dev Ops, and product teams on shared goals and execution strategies.
  • Translate business requirements into clear project plans and technical objectives.
  • Develop and maintain hybrid Waterfall‑Agile project plans, roadmaps, and resource forecasts.
  • Track milestones and deliverables across multiple phases and methodologies.
  • Use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Waterfall artifacts (e.g., Gantt charts) to monitor progress.
  • Identify program risks early and implement mitigation or contingency plans.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross‑team dependencies, blockers, and technical challenges.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates to stakeholders, including status reports, executive dashboards, and issue escalations.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for program‑level communication with Vision

    X and external collaborators.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet enterprise standards for security, privacy, compliance, and operations.
  • Conduct retrospectives and post‑mortems to drive process improvements across the program lifecycle.
  • Champion delivery best practices, operational efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management or software delivery
  • Proven ability to manage large‑scale, cross‑functional programs in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration, system interoperability, and API‑driven architectures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
