Who You Are:
Galaxy Digital Data Centers is seeking a Head of Data Center Site Acquisitions and Development to lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of large‑scale data center campus developments globally. This role will help drive site selection, acquisition, and delivery strategy for mission‑critical infrastructure that supports hyperscale and AI‑driven workloads. The ideal candidate will combine real estate development expertise with a strong understanding of utility infrastructure (land, water, fiber, and environmental) to deliver best‑in‑class sites ready for mission‑critical operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and evaluate land parcels and campuses suitable for mission‑critical AI data centers.
- Assess viability through research, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
- Analyze regional power availability, water resources, and fiber connectivity.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead negotiations for land acquisition, lease agreements, joint ventures, and partnerships.
- Work cross functionally with the team to drive commercial terms and agreements with utility providers, surface estate owners, mineral owners, and external consultants.
- Collaborate with internal Legal and Finance teams to finalize deal structures aligned with corporate strategy.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Technology, Finance, Power and Construction teams to ensure holistic site selection and delivery.
- Lead cross‑functional work streams from concept to "shovel ready” sites.
- Oversee the execution of land development and utility enablement for future data center campuses.
- Provide regular executive reporting and risk assessments.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in site selection, real estate development, land acquisition, or large‑scale industrial/infrastructure projects.
- Background in data center development or mission‑critical infrastructure required.
- Proven success negotiating and closing complex land, lease, or infrastructure agreements.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% globally to evaluate opportunities, engage stakeholders, and oversee delivery.
- Familiarity with hybrid real estate structures (wholesale, build‑to‑suit, joint ventures, and retail colocation).
