Position Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our next generation of video computing hardware products, including on‑premises servers, edge appliances, and integrated AI processing systems.
This individual will serve as the bridge between engineering, operations, and go‑to‑market teams, ensuring that our hardware offerings are not only high‑performing and reliable but also tightly aligned with our software ecosystem and customer needs.
This position demands a hands‑on leader with a builder’s mindset – someone who thrives in ambiguity, embraces problem‑solving, and can turn a concept into a shipping product. You’ll help define and implement hardware strategies from the ground up while influencing key business decisions related to design, manufacturing, partnerships, and global expansion.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and own the hardware product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Define product positioning, key differentiators, and performance benchmarks that set the hardware apart in the AI‑driven video computing market.
- Partner closely with the CEO, CTO, and cross‑functional stakeholders to define short‑ and long‑term growth initiatives.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle from concept and design through manufacturing, launch, and sustainment.
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear product specifications and deliverables.
- Manage prototype development, testing, and field validation, ensuring products meet both technical and regulatory standards.
- Establish documentation, configuration control, and version management processes suitable for a rapidly evolving start‑up.
- Collaborate daily with Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, AI, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to bring products to life.
- Serve as the hardware subject‑matter expert internally, guiding technical trade‑offs and ensuring strong product market fit.
- Lead internal reviews, stakeholder updates, and go‑to‑market readiness meetings with executive leadership.
- Identify and manage hardware component suppliers, OEMs, and contract manufacturers across domestic and international markets.
- Negotiate vendor terms, ensure production timelines, and track supply chain health to minimize risk.
- Establish scalable quality assurance processes and testing protocols that meet enterprise and government security standards.
- Engage directly with customers, system integrators, and channel partners to gather insights and identify unmet needs.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking across the physical security and computing hardware sectors.
- Incorporate real‑world feedback into continuous product improvement and future roadmap iterations.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to build product launch strategies, sales tools, datasheets, and technical collateral.
- Train the commercial team to effectively position and sell hardware solutions within integrated AI and cloud ecosystems.
- Contribute to pricing models, margin analysis, and volume forecasting to ensure commercial viability and scalability.
- Take a hands‑on role in experimentation, rapid prototyping, and technical validation in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Introduce agile product management practices and frameworks that suit a lean, fast‑moving organization.
