Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Discovery Analyst to join our Cybersecurity organization
. This individual will be responsible for executing and analyzing enterprise data scans and enhancing data protection capabilities, including the development and enforcement of data protection policies.

• Execute and analyze enterprise data discovery scans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and refine data protection policies.
• Assist in building and enhancing data protection capabilities across structured and unstructured data environments.
• Support compliance efforts with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Work closely with product teams, data analysts, and data governance teams to drive data classification and protection initiatives.

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data discovery and/or data protection (including Data Loss Prevention).
• Hands-on experience with MS Purview for data discovery and classification.
• Strong knowledge of data management principles including:
• Data governance
• Data classification
• Data privacy
• Experience with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
  .
• Proven analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
