Systems Administrator, IT Project Manager
The Technology Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day technology operations, including hardware, software applications, systems infrastructure, and platform integrations. This role ensures data integrity, data security, and overall system performance while leading technology staff to support organizational goals. The Technology Systems Manager ensures that all systems operate with optimal effectiveness and efficiency to reduce redundancy and increase productivity for staff, members, and volunteers.
This is a mid-level management position reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration. The Technology Systems Manager supervises two staff members responsible for administering Salesforce (CRM), Digital Cheetah (VMS), Zendesk, Word Press, and Google Workspace (G Suite).
ResponsibilitiesTechnology Operations & Hardware
- Oversee day-to-day management of laptops and other staff technology devices
- Ensure hardware and software are functioning effectively and efficiently
- Maintain cybersecurity measures and best practices to protect organizational data
- Ensure technology operations are compliant with NCL’s governing documents
Systems Management & Integrations
- Manage cloud-based systems, software applications, and platform integrations
- Ensure data integrity across systems and promote alignment between platforms
- Lead the adoption of process improvements, automation, and IT service management (ITSM) standards
- Lead technology projects from planning to implementation and ongoing support
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including software subscriptions and cloud services
- Develop and administer the technology budget and perform cost-benefit analyses
User Support & Training
- Provide technical assistance and support to staff and volunteers
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, escalating as necessary
- Train staff and volunteers on new applications, tools, and workflows
Leadership & Supervision
- Select, train, and supervise technology staff, ensuring effective performance and professional development
- Conduct regular evaluations and ensure alignment with team and organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, chapter support teams, and national volunteers on technology adoption and best practices
Additional Requirements
- Some travel may be required
- Must be available for on-site meetings as needed
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in technology or a related field required
- Master’s degree in technology or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience leading technology operations, preferably in social sector or member-based organizations
- Supervisory experience required
- Prior budget management experience preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated project management capabilities and broad technical proficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, chapter support teams, and volunteer leaders, as well as independently
- Adaptable to the evolving needs of a growing organization
- Proficiency with office systems and fluency with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Google Suite, Word Press, project management tools, and volunteer management systems such as Digital Cheetah
