We are looking for a Claims Team Leader to join us at INSHUR! We’re based in Dallas, TX ⭐ , with offices in New York City 🗽and Westlake, CA ⛰️ and our company embraces a hybrid working model, allowing you to thrive in both collaborative office settings and the comfort of your own home 🏠. You’ll have the opportunity to work remotely while also connecting with your colleagues at our Dallas office 3 days a week, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment.

Supported by (and reporting to) Head of Claims, you'll be joining a friendly team of 3 leaders and 25 overall who believe in delivering great customer service at scale.

What you'll do

As our Claims Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and developing a team of up to 8 Claim Specialists who will be handling commercial auto claims across the country. In this role, you will be a key leader in our regional office in Irving, TX.

Essentials to thrive in the role
  • Auto Claims Expertise: Strong experience handling personal auto and/or commercial auto claims.

  • Experienced Team Leader: At least 12 months of supervising claim specialists or direct reports in personal or commercial auto claims.

  • Licensed Adjuster: Current Texas adjuster’s license, with the ability to obtain California and New York licenses within 60 days.

  • Team Development: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop claim professionals to achieve high performance.

  • Phone-Based Claims: Experience managing a phone-based claims unit to optimize efficiency and drive strong results.

  • End-to-End Claims Oversight: A track record of overseeing complete commercial auto claim activity while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Coaching & Performance Management: Skill in coaching and managing performance to elevate both individual and team capability.

  • Scaling Teams: Experience hiring, onboarding, and developing claims talent to build and scale a high-performing team.

  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements within a claims environment.

  • Collaborative Work Style: A collaborative approach that fosters teamwork, shared accountability, and a positive, productive culture.

  • Regulatory & Licensing Knowledge: Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and a commitment to maintaining all required licensing standards.

Additional skills that could set you apart
  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

  • CA & NY adjusters license.

What to expect from the process

Screen & Intro: 20 minute call with the Talent Team to discuss the role and your experience.

1st interview: 45-60 minute in person interview with the Head of Claims and Senior People Partner. This will be a role fit (technical questions) and team fit interview with time at the end for you to ask questions.

Final Interview: 45-60 minute video interview with the President of Komodo Claims a general Q&A and more time for you to ask questions.
