This role offers the opportunity to work alongside accomplished attorneys in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting complex insurance defense litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of insurance defense litigation
    , from case inception through trial.
  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial exhibits
    .
  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to insurance defense matters.
  • Manage and organize case files, medical records, expert reports, and deposition summaries
    .
  • Coordinate and track court deadlines, depositions, hearings, and trial schedules
    .
  • Assist in fact investigation, witness interviews, and document review to support case development.
  • Prepare for trials, mediations, and depositions
    , including organizing trial binders and exhibits.
  • Review and summarize medical records, accident reports, and insurance policies
    .
  • Work closely with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
    .
  • Manage electronic discovery (e-discovery) and document production using legal case management software.
Qualifications
  • Education: Paralegal certificate or associate/bachelor’s degree in legal studies or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as an insurance defense paralegal in a law firm setting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of insurance defense litigation, court procedures, and case management
    .
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, Lexis Nexis), e-filing systems, and document management software
    .
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
    .
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    .
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and insurance policies is a plus.
