SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist attorneys with fact investigation, legal research, document preparation and production.
  • Manage databases, docketing and case management, and provide overall client service.
  • Organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks.
  • Coordinate in-person or electronic filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Pre-trial preparation and trial attendance.
  • Prepare draft pleadings and discovery.
  • Collect and summarize records.
  • Assist with calendaring and docketing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in commercial litigation.
  • Associate’s degree required;
    Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Significant, substantive legal related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education at the discretion of the SBU Leader.

  • Experience with Relativity and other litigation support technology.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management and prioritization skills.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing business demands.
  • High attention to detail and produce quality final work product.
  • Exercise good judgment, assume responsibility and act decisively under deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and build trust.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Reliability and deliver on commitments.
  • Proven success working in a fast‑paced, continually changing environment.
  • Independently handle all key duties.
