Real Estate Associate - Dallas, TX

Real Estate Associate with Fox Rothschild - a national firm that offers the reach and resources of a national law firm combined with the personal touch and connections of a boutique firm. Fox Rothschild is currently looking for an Associate in its Real Estate Department to support the Dallas commercial real estate transactions practice group.

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from a strong accredited law school required.
• Must be licensed in the State of Texas.

• Strong verbal, writing skills and academic record.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Experience in commercial real estate transactions involving one or more areas such as retail, industrial, multifamily and office.
• Experience representing clients engaged in mixed‑use developments, and also in the purchase, sale, leasing and financing of retail, industrial, multifamily and office properties preferred.
• Experience with pre‑litigation dispute resolution in real estate matters is preferred but not required.
• Experience advising municipalities or major cities on affordable housing development and/or land use or zoning matters is preferred but not required.
• At least some significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements is required.

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, telephones, printers and copiers.

• Sedentary work:
  Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

• Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
