We are a well-established law firm with four offices across Texas, known for our deep expertise in litigation, our collaborative culture, and our long-standing client relationships. Our Insurance Defense Practice is growing, and we are seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense matters, including general liability, premises liability, and auto claims. This is a hands-on role requiring strong case management, organization, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
Coordinate and manage discovery, including document production and medical record summaries
Prepare deposition summaries, trial notebooks, and exhibit binders
Assist attorneys with trial preparation and support
Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
Monitor deadlines and maintain docketing systems
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience; insurance defense preferred
Paralegal certificate or degree strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (e.g., Trial Director, Case Map, or similar)
Strong understanding of Texas state and federal court rules and procedures
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and proactive work ethic
